Book Description

The scope of reliability engineering is extremely wide, encompassing many areas of engineering technology. Reliability engineering helps ensure the success of space missions, maintain the national security, deliver a steady supply of electric power, provide reliable transportation, and so on.

This book is an easy-to-use guide to basic descriptive statistics, reliability concepts, and the properties of lifetime distributions such as the exponential, Weibull, and lognormal. The material covers reliability data plotting, acceleration models, life test data analysis, systems models, and much more. It also includes a chapter on Bayesian reliability analysis and expanded, updated coverage of repairable system modeling.
